Team Woolmer Hill

Our Art department was the brains behind a collaborative approach to the hog design.

The whole school is represented from Science to PE, Year 7 to Year 11.

Work was collaged onto the pig to represent the vibrant energy and curriculum at Woolmer Hill. Attention was given to the ears which are covered in a music score written by pupils taking GCSE music. The eyes were produced by Year 7 pupils exploring portraiture and the eye shadow effect by Year 8 mathematicians. The nose was inspired by Year 10 GCSE Food and Nutrition and the feet are shoes painted by Year 9, in the style of Michael Craig Martin. Finally, the pig poem running down the pig’s back was written by one of our Year 7 English pupils.
